a $35 check or money order and pets name to
1824 Stamey Branch Road, Newland NC 28657. You may also use
Paypal online. The $35 will
help pay part of that animals shots
and spay/neuter.
When money is received there
will be a
placed beside
their picture to let everyone
know that it is being sponsored.

Due to the absence of a county operated animal
control program, the burden of animal welfare rests entirely on the local citizens. The
Avery County Humane Society's Mission is To help our community respond
humanely to the needs of its animals.

homes where the adopted animals will
be properly cared for and treated in a manner that
the Society considers
humane. We do not have a policy of euthanizing healthy pets, it is

to see that every animal in our care is found a home that the Society

humane. We are always in need of any cash contribution that you
would care to make and
dependable adult volunteers to brush, bathe, and
give special attention to our sheltered
animals.
