Gretchen, Diesel, Stewey, and Chance

We have partnered with Mountain View Correctional Institute to begin a program called "A New Leash on Life". This program allows eight inmates to train four of our dogs basic obedience. The dogs spend eight weeks in training at the facility.  The program so far not only has gotten our less likely to be adopted dogs a forever home, but has changed the lives of all the inmates involved.

This is Lisa Aldridge. Lisa makes sure the trainers and dogs are on track with
their training. She keeps the dogs spoiled and makes sure they have all they need.

Now if you are looking for a nice pet who will do what you say, and who will be good around kids Ms. Gretchen is the one. Please come by and see her because you will love her. Thank you, Obrien

Jeremy, Dwiggins, and Milo

Milo wants to live a good dog's life. He's been searching for a good home his whole life. He's just been looking in the wrong places! Some wild and forgotten backyard in the middle of nowhere wasn't exactly what Milo was wanting.
Then Milo heard about a program called "A New Leash on Life". He knew he needed the training, but he'd have to go to the pound first. Milo had heard some bad stuff about pounds. That is why he had outsmarted the dog-catcher for so long.
Well, Milo finally had had enough of being hungry, cold, and kicked out and he got himself locked up at the Avery Humane Society. As it turns out, all those stories he'd heard about the pound were wrong! He had plenty of food, didn't have to sleep in the rain and got lots of love and attention.
Then one day, they put Milo in a car and told him he was going to get an education. He'd been enrolled in "A New Leash on Life". Milo showed up in some serious need of learning manners, obedience, and how to be a stable-minded dog.
In the short time that he's been in the program, Milo is demonstrating his intelligence, ability to adapt and willingness to learn. During his eight weeks in the program, he'll learn to walk on a leash without pulling, walk at your side without even having a leash and hot to sit, stay, and come. He'll even learn a few cool tricks too!
When Milo leaves this program, he'll be the perfect dog for the perfect family. If you're looking for a little dog with shiny fur, a stumpy little tail, and BIG brown eyes, Milo is the dog you've been looking for. He's definitely been searching for you.

Jeremy, Diesel, and Chaney

Hello everyone! My name is Diesel, and I was hping someone could help me out. You see, I woke up one morning in this shelter. I have no clue how I got here. A couple of weeks later I passed the doggy test to go and get trained by some friends. I'm so smart I trained my trainer how to sit! How about that? Right now I am learning how to do all kinds of tricks. But all I really want is for someone to come and love on me. Maybe even a few kinds to lick on. Will you help me? Pretty Please with a biscuit on top?
